A Big thank you to Paul Brant
Nafuda is the Japanese name for a name tag. "Nafuda" can be found in traditional martial arts dojo in a frame a "Nafudakake". Hanko and Inkan are seals.
Soto Sabisu started with Paul's two unsuccessful years trying to source a manufacturer in Europe to commission his own Nafudakake for Selby Shotokan Karate Club before eventually giving up and deciding to manufacture his own. As a club karate instructor, qualified joiner and student of “Nihongo” (the Japanese language) Paul was very well placed as anyone to fill this “gap” in the market place. Soto Sabisu now commissions pieces of this joinery / art for customers across Europe.
Recently Paul has produce a special promotion piece for JKS England - The "Fight Head On" plaque. The cost is a very reasonable £75 and for each one sold Paul has donated £25 too the JKS England squad fund.
So far five have been sold raising £125 for the squad. A massive thank you to Paul for his hard work to help the squad.
If you are interested in purchasing a plaque please look up the Soto Sabisu facebook page here.
