Great turnout for the Open course and Grading at York
with Glen Riley Sensei (5th Dan JKS)
There was a great turnout for the Open course and Grading at York held on Sunday 22nd June.
Head of JKS England, Alan Campbell Sensei 6th Dan JKS and Hans Rana Sensei 5th Dan JKS provided the instruction for over 100 karate-ka with over 70 of those attending successfully graded.
The training was once again split into grade specific sessions throughout the day.
Alan Sensei focusing on grading kata, stance development and general kihon for the lower grades and then Heian Yondan plus partner based Kumite drills for the seniors.
Hans Sensei worked through flexibility and fitness training with everyone, then focused on kihon for the Junior grades and took the Brown and Black belts through all five Junro katas.
A Very enjoyable and informative course.
