The JKS England Nationals 2016
Sunday 20th November saw hundreds of competitors, coaches, supporters and referees descended on the Wildcats arena in Nottingham for the annual JKS England Open Shotokan Karate Championships.
As usual the event ran smoothly from 9am and 6pm with a new format of three premilanary areas and a finals area. A huge thanks to all competitors who gave their all at the championships with some great performances in all the categories. Congraulations to JKS Scotland for winning the England v Scotland 5 man team challenge match.
A special mention must go to Sensei Alan Campbell, Sensei Geoff Dixon and Wendy Preston for organising the championships. Also a huge thanks to the officials and table recorders and to everyone who helped set up the venue before and after the event.
As usual we had good support from JKS Scotland, JKS Wales and JKS Ireland and we thank them for participating.
