The grading panel was headed by Kagawa Sensei 8th Dan, Norman Robinson Sensei 8th Dan from South Africa and Tanaka Sensei 8th Dan who is based in the Ukraine along with other senior JKS Hombu Dojo instructors. The atmosphere in the Dojo was incredibly tense and nerve wracking. There were people attempting to take gradings from England, Scotland, Ireland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, USA, Lebanon and New Zealand.
We are very proud to say that all four LKA members passed their Dan Gradings. They are Matt Price 6th Dan JKS, Ashley Scott 4th Dan JKS, Juliet Finlay 4th Dan JKS and Melissa Finlay 3rd Dan JKS.
Many congratulations to all four, it took an awful lot of nerve to perform under such circumstances and scrutiny with only two people at a time getting up. All four are a credit to their club and JKS England.
