The 2015 Summer Course is the busiest ever held
Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of August saw over 200 karateka descend on Notingham for the annual Summer Course which was being held in the city for the first time. The event proved to be the busiest Summer course ever held by JKS England and Wales.
Instructors for the weekend were Alan Campbell 6th Dan, Nick Heald 6th Dan, Matt Price 6th Dan and Shinji Nagaki 5th Dan. Over the course of the weekend the instructors led some superb sessions covering all aspects of Shotokan Karate with classes being split according to ability.
As well as hard training there was also a chance to relax with a meal being organised on the Saturday evening in the City Centre which was enjoyed even more due to the fact that on the same day the England cricket retained the Ashes, also being held in Nottingham at Trent Bridge.
The feedback received about the Summer course has been superb. For those who couldn't make it this time, look out for the event in 2016!
Following the course was a dan grading. Congratulations to the following successful candidates.
