22 Medals for JKS England at the Yorkshire Open Karate Championships

There were over 50+ JKS England Squad members competing at the Yorkshire Open in Barnsley on the 12th February. It was a huge event with over 1,000 entries, which is great from a standard point of view, but made for a challengingly long day.

There were some great performances though with JKS members Alessandro Siano, Sharif Ebrahimi and Joe Hird all taking individual Golds. There were two other team Golds with Charlotte Haxby, Georjeana Harrison and Lori-Ann Moran taking Gold in Female Team Kumite 13-15 Years and Grace Baron, Sam Jackson and Lori-Ann Moran winning the Mixed Team Kata 10-15 Years.

The overall medal tally was 5 Gold, 6 Silver and 11 Bronze from JKS England members. Well done to all that took part and roll on the EKF Nationals in April.

A big thank you to everyone who came along on the day to support the squad.
