The 2014 JKS England Squad selections took place in Leeds on Sunday 12th February. In total, 3 Squads were selected. A childrens Kumite Squad, an Adults Kumite Squad and a Kata Squad.
Each selection took an hour and a half and the result of this was that 59 competitors were chosen in total to make up the JKS England squad for 2014.
It was very good to see so many new faces on the Squad and the next 18 months could prove very interesting indeed. The Squad already have two International events planned for 2013 which are the Swedish Open in Malmo in March and the JKS European Championships in Copenhagen in September. Next year they have the goal of the JKS World Championships which are being held in South Africa. Plenty to go at and to keep them all motivated, training hard and competing regularly.
Best of luck to the whole Squad in their endeavours.
