A highlight of the JKS calendar is the annual trip to Japan.

Taking place during the winter, a group is taken either to do Kangeiko (special winter training) at the Honbu dojo, or the International Seminar at Teikyo University.

This week long event is the epitome of Japanese tradition, which very few westerners have a chance to experience.

Following this, the group travel to alternate destinations including north into the mountains to experience rural Japan, South to Kyoto or to the Island of Okinawa


The trip is a dream come true for many karate-ka.
