One Gold, One Silver and Two Bronze for Wales at the JKS World Championships!
JKS Wales took a team of fourteen competitors to the 2016 JKS World Shoto Federation Karate Do Championships on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th September in Glasgow, Scotland.
They were accompanied by Squad coaches Matt and Derek Stockham, Paul Davies and Referee Mark Scott. The team also took a supporters whom were in good voice!
After two solid days of hard competition the squad returned home with 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medal positions which saw them finish in twelth position in a field of twenty-six nations. There were some great performances and medal winners.
These are exciting times for the small but fast growing JKS Welsh team and this was thier first JKS World Championships. The next world championships is to be held in Montreal Canada in 2018 which gives everyone a huge opportunity to be part of this prestigious event.
