JKS Wales members have been extremely busy recently in fundraising efforts towards sending a squad to the 2016 JKS World Championships being held in Glasgow.
A Kick-A-Thon was held across various clubs in JKS Wales. The aim of the game, quite simply, was to complete as many kicks as possible in fifteen minutes. There were two trophies up for grabs, the most kicks completed and the most money raised. Overall the event was a huge success raising a significant amount of money for the squad making a total of £2279.74. Congratulations to Rob Clarke from JKS Gilwern for raising the most money, totalling at £220.50! Collectively with his son, they raised £340.50.
In a separate event JKS Brecon Senshi, through Rhiannon Rogers organised a Curry Night with Karate mums, Rupa and Meena, whilst providing a raffle and music for everyone who attended. The food and event was a complete success and had amazing feedback from everyone who attended. Altogether a total of £750 was raised for the squad.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended or contributed to both events in support of the JKS Wales national squad.
